On 29 April 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India and the People's Republic of Bangladesh concurrently, Mikhail Kasko, met with the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of Bangladesh, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and the Minister of Home Affairs of Bangladesh, Salahuddin Ahmed,
A wide range of topics of bilateral cooperation was discussed, including opportunities to promote the mechanisation of Bangladesh's agriculture, and the supply of Belarusian municipal and road construction vehicles.
During the negotiations with the Minister of Home Affairs, the issues of law and order, law enforcement, security and defense were also in the focus of attention.
Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their mutual desire to strengthen existing partnerships.
