Belarus has created a unique wind-electric set adapted to natural conditions of the country. It was developed in the limited company "Aerolla" within the framework of the state scientific and technical program "Energy saving" with assistance of the Energy efficiency committee in the Council of Ministers, National Academy of Sciences and Ministry of industry.
According to Vladimir Pashkov, the director on science and technologies of the limited company "Aerolla", the capacity of the wind-electric set is 250 kW. Its experimental sample was installed near the village of Yankovtsy of Dzerzhinsk region. The wind-electric set has been tested for a long period. At present, it is necessary to check a number of technical indications, software, assurance factor, stability in different climatic conditions. The installation is planned to be put into operation in two years.
According to first deputy chairman of the State committee on energy effectiveness Viktor Fedoseev, use of wind is one of the top priorities of development of non-traditional energy. Search for alternative energy sources has been always very urgent for Belarus. However, the usual wind speeds do not allow the use wind-electric sets, which were tested in other countries. That is why creation of the set, which can work in Belarus, gives hope that this direction has been correctly chosen. The next task is to create a production set of higher capacity. Besides, more than two thousand grounds have been already identified, where wind-electric sets can be installed.
