Statement of the Press-service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus in connection with the passing of the Belarusian national poet Nil Hilevich

On March 29, 2016 our country lost a national poet of Belarus, Nil Hilevich.

Every Belarusian since childhood knows the creative works of Nil Hilevich, who left us an extremely rich artistic legacy, including: around 20 collectors of poems, plays and novels.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses sincere condolences to Nil Hilevich’s relatives, his nearest and dearest, as well as to all Belarusians and admirers of his art outside the country.
