On November 14, 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Zhang Wenchuan.
The interlocutors discussed the results of the II Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security Source, which took place on 31 October - 1 November 2024. The Ambassador of China congratulated the Belarusian side on the success of the event.
The meeting highlighted the importance of further work on building an equal and indivisible security architecture on the Eurasian continent and the formation of a new multipolar world order, which meets the interests of all members of the international community.
The parties exchanged views on the interaction between Belarus and China in international organisations, primarily in the United Nations. They reaffirmed the consistently high level of cooperation and mutual support at multilateral platforms in line with the strategic partnership between Minsk and Beijing.
The interlocutors discussed the progress in the implementation of the Chinese initiative to establish the International Mediation Organisation, including steps to jointly promote it among the CIS member states.
