On November 18, 2020 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Serbia, Valery Brylev, met with the newly appointed Minister of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, Andjelka Atanaskovic.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the development of Belarusian-Serbian relations in the trade and economic sphere. The parties reached an agreement on the preparation of a Roadmap for the development of bilateral cooperation with the identification of specific projects of mutual interest.
The development of joint ventures in the fields of industry, metallurgy, oil refining, agriculture, expansion of supplies of industrial goods and food products, participation in construction and infrastructure projects were designated as mutually beneficial areas.
The interlocutors confirmed their mutual interest in the early launch of the work of the Belarusian-Serbian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and in holding its next meeting in Belgrade.
