Minister S.Aleinik to pay a visit to Mongolia

On March 16, 2024 within the framework of the official visit of the Belarusian delegation, Foreign Minister, Sergei Aleinik, met with the head of the National Emergency Management Agency of Mongolia, Gombozhav Ariunbuyan.

On the example of one of the fire units of Ulaanbaatar, the work of Belarusian fire-fighting equipment serving in Mongolian emergency units was shown to the delegation.

According to the information provided by the Mongolian side, over 1,300 people have already been rescued and property damage worth over USD 20 million has been prevented from damage due to the work of Belarusian equipment.

The parties underlined the positive experience of cooperation in the supply of our equipment for the needs of the NEMA of Mongolia, specified 4 areas of prospective cooperation, discussed new projects and agreed to continue interaction.

 
 

The Mongolian side confirmed its interest in purchasing special fire-fighting equipment of "POZHSNAB" LLC on the chassis of "MAZ" OJSC, as well as other equipment and special clothing. There was interest in continuing training programmes for Mongolian specialists on the basis of specialized Belarusian institutions.

In order to discuss specific projects and opportunities for further cooperation, the Belarusian delegation held talks at a number of production facilities.

These include the largest plant for dairy, carbonated and alcoholic beverages of the "APU" company, as well as the "EVSEG" cashmere factory.

 
 

Sergei Aleinik held negotiations with the Mongolian state-owned Agricultural Corporation. They discussed applied issues related to the supply of pedigree cattle, milking equipment and the construction of dairy production facilities for the needs of Mongolian farmers.

Meetings were also held with the General Director of UMM (dealer of "BELAZ" JSC in Mongolia), Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Mongolia, Leonid Slobodsky, and the Executive Director of "Ovoot Tolgoi Resources" (operator of BELAZ dump trucks), M. Batgerol.
