On January 12, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, participated in the session of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS member states to the CIS Statutory and other bodies.
In his statement, V.Makei paid special attention to the practical implementation of the CIS Council of Heads of States decision of September 16, 2016 on the CIS adaptation to modern realities. The Minister drew attention to the need for further expansion of the existing capacity of the CIS free trade zone via the development of a single market in public procurement and creation of conditions for free trade in services.
V.Makei expressed hope for constructive cooperation of CIS member states during the Russian Federation Presidency of the Organization in the fulfilment of tasks CIS faces.
