On March 15, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Didier Reynders.
The first visit of the Head of the MFA of Belgium to Belarus is dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (on March 10, 2017).
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and educational spheres. The parties acknowledged a serious potential for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation including the implementation of certain projects.
The sides examined current state and prospects for Belarus’ relations with the EU and the Council of Europe, shared their views on current international issues.
In the course of the meeting, the parties confirmed the importance of strengthening positive trends in dialogue between Belarus and Belgium, as well as of further rapprochement between the two countries.
