The Palestinian ambassador to Belarus will present his credentials to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on February 4.
In making the decision to open the Palestinian diplomatic mission, the Belarusian administration proceeded from UN Security Council resolutions, which stipulate the future establishment of a Palestinian state.
The embassy will represent the Palestinian National Administration, the interim government of Palestine elected by the people. The embassy will concentrate on assistance for the development of trade and economic and cultural relations.
On this day the president of Belarus will be receiving credentials from Ambassadors of Iraq and Spain as well.
