Response by Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus R.Varankou to question from ONT about statement of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania

ONT: In Antalya, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister stated that he dreams of excellent relations with Belarus after all issues are resolved. What is our position, the diplomatic corps, is Minsk ready for dialogue, and in general, your comment on this?

R.Varankou: We welcome this statement. Belarus has always advocated for good-neighbourly and mutually beneficial relations with Lithuania and shares the aspiration for their normalisation. For our part, we reaffirm our full readiness for a constructive dialogue.

As previously reported in the media, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry has appointed a representative to engage with Minsk. We expect communication through this channel. We anticipate that, through joint efforts, we will be able to bring bilateral relations to the level mentioned by Mr. Budrys.
