On December 14, 2022 on behalf of the Head of State, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, introduced Sergei Aleinik, who was appointed to the post of the Minister of Foretign Affairs to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In his speech, the Head of Government outlined the priority tasks facing the Foreign Ministry system in promoting the interests of Belarus in the international arena, adequately responding to changing external conditions, taking into account the current geopolitical dynamics.
The Prime Minister pointed to the need to improve the efficiency of the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign agencies in the trade and economic sphere, the results of which are planned to be considered at the collegium of the department at the end of the year.
R.Golovchenko also emphasized the importance of enhancing the impact of other areas of activity of the MFA system, the use of non-standard approaches and initiative work under the leadership of the new Minister.
S.Aleinik in his response expressed gratitude for the high trust. He emphasized the focus on the effective implementation of the tasks set by the country's leadership for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote foreign policy and foreign economic interests, strengthen the sovereignty and independence of the Belarusian state.
