First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Lukashevich meets SCO Deputy Secretary General

On 3 June 2026, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), Ahmad Saidmurodzoda.

The First Deputy Minister thanked his counterpart for supporting the Belarusian initiative and for his personal participation in the AgroSCO forum as part of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week and the Belagro-2026 International Specialised Exhibition.

The parties noted the constructive nature of Belarus’s interaction with the SCO Secretariat and other member states of the organisation across all existing areas of cooperation. 

The sides discussed measures to implement the initiatives put forward by the heads of state of the SCO member states, as well as issues relating to improving the organisation’s activities and developing external contacts.

For reference: this is the second time that a delegation from the SCO Secretariat has taken part in the events of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week. In 2026, the Minsk AgroSCO forum is dedicated to the prospects for sustainable agriculture, issues of export cooperation and logistics, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of agricultural education between SCO member states.
