On April 2, 2024 a Belarusian Honorary Consul’s Office was inaugurated in Çanakkale (Türkiye). Ridvan Demirhan was appointed Honorary Consul of Belarus.
The inauguration was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Ambrazevich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Türkiye, Viktar Rybak, the Consul General of Belarus in Istanbul, Aleksei Shved, the Governor of Çanakkale, İlhami Aktaş, the Representative of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Çanakkale, Ambassador Murat Ahmet Yörük, representatives of the Turkish business community and the public.
The Deputy Minister discussed in details the matters of cooperation in the short run with the Governor of Çanakkale, İlhami Aktaş.
During th event, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Governorship of Çanakkale and Novogrudok District Executive Committee was signed. At the signing ceremony, the Novogrudok District was represented by Deputy Chairperson, Aliaksandr Hryts, who also led a business delegation consisting of the directors of major Novogrudok businesses.
At the meeting, the possibilities and prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation were discussed by Y.Ambrazevich and the management and members of the Çanakkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
