Minsk is hosting the annual seminar of heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Belarus

On July 28 - August 1, 2025 Minsk is hosting the annual seminar of heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Belarus.

 

 
 

The workshop was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Ihar Buzouski.

In his welcoming speech, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxim Ryzhenkov, noted: "The theme of the seminar we are holding this time is prosaic on the one hand and very important on the other. Issues of economic cooperation, first of all export development, various mechanisms of export support, study of best practices - all these are the key areas of our interaction".

 

 
 

The program of the seminar provides for a wide range of events aimed at strengthening the coordination of foreign policy and foreign economic activities of the diplomatic missions, as well as discussion of current challenges and tasks facing the diplomatic service of the Republic of Belarus in modern conditions.

Special attention will be paid to the issues of digital transformation of foreign policy work, including the application of artificial intelligence technologies in international relations and communications. Specialized intensives with participation of profile experts are planned.

An important element of the seminar will be a visit to BELAZ OJSC, one of the leading industrial enterprises of the country, where the participants will get acquainted with the potential of the Belarusian machine building industry, export opportunities and prospects of cooperation in sphere of technologies.

The seminar also includes socially significant events. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, diplomats will take part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers in Victory Square. This symbolic event emphasizes the continuity of historical memory and the unity of the Belarusian people.

The program of the week also includes practical lectures, working meetings with representatives of ministries, agencies and business circles, as well as participation in a round table on the coordination of export activities and investment attraction.

As Maxim Ryzhenkov noted, the seminar creates a unique platform for direct dialog with the heads of key sectors of the national economy, which greatly expands the opportunities for sharing experience and implementing new initiatives. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening the human resource potential through cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration.

The Minister also emphasized the forthcoming meeting with the Head of State: “This meeting will be of a working and concrete nature, each participant will be able to present topical issues and make proposals on the foreign policy strategy of the country”.

An important aspect will be the format of an open exchange of ideas, in which new initiatives, approaches and proposals are discussed to further improve the efficiency of the work of diplomatic missions.

The seminar continues to serve as a key platform for strategic interaction, analysis of the current situation, and development of common approaches to the implementation of the foreign policy strategy.
