Delegation of Bashkortostan to Visit Belarus

On June 14-15, 2012 the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation will pay a visit to the Republic of Belarus. President of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov will head the delegation.

The delegation of Bashkortostan will have meetings in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus and in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

The program also includes the visits to the JSC “Holding management company “Belkommunmash”, Science and Practical Center of the National Academy of Science of Belarus for Agriculture Mechanization, Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a matchmaking session for the representatives of the Belarusian and Bashkortostani business circles.

Delegation of Bashkortostan will also visit Brest oblast to see in operation the agricultural enterprises of the Belarusian region (sovkhoz “Brestskiy”, agro-industrial complex “Chernavchitsy”, JSC “Belovezhskiy”), will learn about the operations and experience in development of the touristic sphere in the State nature-preservation entity “National Park "Belovezhstaka Puscha".

Note: In 2011 foreign trade between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan made US$ 1,445.7 million and compared to 2010 rose 2.2-fold. Exports made US$ 162.0 million, increasing by 27.3 percent, imports made US$ 1,283.7, a 2.5-fold increase. The trade balance is negative at the level of US$ 1,121.7 million.

In January-March 2012 foreign trade between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan made US$ 417.5 million and compared to the same period of 2011 rose 2-fold. Exports made US$ 33.9 million, increasing by 11.0 percent, imports made US$ 383.6, a 2.1-fold increase. The trade balance is negative at the level of US$ 349.7 million.
