Statement by the Press-Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus in connection with the accession to power of the new leadership of the local administration in Taiwan

Noting the accession to power of the new leadership of the local administration in Taiwan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms the unchanged position of the Republic of Belarus regarding the policy of “One China” and recognition of the Government of China as the sole legitimate representative of all of China and Taiwan as an integral part of the territory of China.

The Republic of Belarus calls for a peaceful evolutionary development of relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
