Ambassador of Belarus to Russia I.Petrishenko meets the Ambassador of Cyprus

On January 29, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Igor Petrishenko, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to the Russian Federation and to the Republic of Belarus non-resident, Leonidas S. Markides.

During the meeting, the sides discussed perspectives of intensification of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and investment spheres, improvement of the legal basis of bilateral cooperation.

Background information: Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on April 9, 1992. In 2016, the trade turnover amounted to 1.96 mln USD.
