On July 5, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, within the framework of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister thanked his Kazakh counterpart for the consistent support of Belarus in joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The Ministers discussed in detail the promising areas of cooperation within the SCO and the schedule of joint events for the near future.
The sides stressed the traditionally friendly and strategic nature of the relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan, the mutual desire to further strengthen them and enhance their qualitative growth for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
The Ministers also held one-on-one talks, during which they touched upon topical issues on the international agenda.
