On 28 May 2026, Minsk hosted another round of Belarusian-Slovak political consultations between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, and the Director General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Martin Kačo.

The meeting was held in a trustful atmosphere, which allowed the parties to discuss in detail the state of and prospects for Belarusian-Slovak cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. The participants also exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda.
During the consultations, the parties agreed on specific steps to further strengthen political cooperation, including the continuation of dialogue at various levels and the implementation of joint projects.
