Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus opened in the Republic of Macedonia

On March 18, 2016 an official inauguration ceremony of Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Macedonia and opening of Honorary Consul’s office took place in Skopje.

In a solemn atmosphere First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Dragana Kiprijanovska handed over to the Honorary Consul of Belarus Borche Markovski consular exequatur. The capital of Macedonia – the city of Skopje – is determined as a consular district.

In his speech during the event, the Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia and concurrently to Macedonia Vladimir Chushev underlined Belarus’ interest in the development of mutually beneficial relations with Macedonia, as well as stressed priority of expanding trade and economic cooperation and inter-regional relations.

On behalf of Ambassador of Belarus and of Honorary Consul a reception in occasion of Honorary Consulate opening was held. Representatives of leadership of Ministry of foreign affairs and other ministries, of municipality of Skopje, Dean of the diplomatic corps in Macedonia, as well as representatives of business community, artists and society were attended the reception.
