First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs S.Lukashevich meets the delegation of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

On November 18, 2024 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lukashevich, met with a delegation headed by the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, He Zhongyou.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of the Belarusian-Chinese regional cooperation, including current plans for trade, economic, humanitarian and political interaction with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.

The parties noted the importance of the forthcoming opening of a direct flight between Minsk and Urumqi in December 2024 for the intensification of business contacts and development of tourism between the two countries.
