Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov holds telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela

On January 3, 2026, at the initiative of the Belarusian side, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov and his Venezuelan counterpart Iván Gil Pinto.

During the conversation, M.Ryzhenkov expressed support for the Venezuelan Government in its position related to sovereignty, the preservation of the legitimately elected government in the country and the initiatives of Caracas, including in international organizations.

In turn, the head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry informed the Belarusian side about the US military strikes on a number of military and civilian facilities in Venezuela, as well as the current situation in the country.

Currently, in accordance with the Venezuelan Constitution, the government will be led by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
