Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus I.Sekreta meets UNHCR Representative

On November 28, 2025 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, met with the Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Republic of Belarus, Erol Arduç, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

The parties summed up the results of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Republic of Belarus during the tenure of E.Arduç.

The Deputy Minister also thanked E.Arduç for coordinating the activities of the UN country team in Belarus as the Acting Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the Belarus in 2023–2024.

The efforts of the UNHCR Office to support Belarus in resolving the migrant situation on the western border of Belarus with the European Union states were positively noted.

An agreement was reached on consistently maintaining the priorities of cooperation between Belarus and the UNHCR National Office and intensifying its work in the regions of Belarus to achieve sustainable development.
