Ambassador of Belarus A.Metelitsa meets the Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan

On June 24, 2021, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan met with Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce and Investment, Co-chairman of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Abdul Razak Dawood.

During the meeting, the Sides discussed the preparation for the sixth Session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation. The interlocutors exchanged views on the activities that took place over the past seven months, including working groups, business council and visits of official and business delegations. It was agreed to hold an online meeting at the level of deputy heads of the ministries responsible for the Commission to agree on modalities for organizing a joint meeting.

The Sides also indicated promising areas of cooperation, including in the fields of industrial cooperation, agriculture, light and petrochemical industries.

A mutual interest in promoting the increase of trade turnover and the development of economic cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan has been reaffirmed.
