Opening ceremony of the «International Quarter» within the 32nd Minsk International Book Fair

On March 13, 2025 the opening ceremony of the «International Quarter» took place within the framework of the 32nd Minsk International Book Fair. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Pavel Utyupin, the First Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus, Andrei Kuntsevich, and heads of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country took part in the event.

A peculiarity of the current book exhibition was the organisation of an interactive collective stand of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

As Deputy Minister Pavel Utyupin noted in his speech, the opening ceremony of the «International Quarter» is one of the first large-scale events within the framework of the presidency of the Republic of Belarus in the EAEU bodies in 2025.

The unifying theme of the book exhibition is the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasised the importance of preserving and passing on to future generations the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. "I am sure that one of the best ways to do this is a good book about those events", noted Pavel Utyupin.

In total, more than 20 countries took part in the Minsk International Book Fair this year.
