Meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation

On June 12, 2024 Minsk hosted the final meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The parties noted the constructive nature of the bilateral meetings held on 11-12 June in the Government of the Republic of Belarus, as well as a number of Belarusian Ministries, enterprises and organizations.
The talks made it possible to outline concrete steps to further develop Belarusian-Cuban cooperation in industry, finance, agriculture, mutual trade, pharmaceuticals, science, education and tourism.
The parties discussed issues related to the elaboration of cooperation projects for the assembly of tractors, production of dairy products and medical drugs.
The agreements reached were recorded in the Final Protocol signed by the parties.
Also within the framework of the Commission meeting the parties signed a number of bilateral documents: Protocol to the Intergovernmental Agreement on Mutual Supplies, Agreement of Intentions to establish a joint venture for the production of medicines, and a contract for the supply of Belarusian tractor kits to Cuba.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled to be held in Havana in 2025.
