Meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Myanmar Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation

On October 2, 2025 the second meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Myanmar Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Minsk under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Union Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Wa Wa Maung.

The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, identified priority areas and ways to further deepen cooperation, including in the fields of engineering, agriculture, healthcare, science and technology, education, culture, and tourism.

The importance of expanding the contractual and legal framework of cooperation with an emphasis on the trade and economic sphere was noted. A schedule of joint events for the near future has been outlined.

Following the talks, the co-chairs endorsed the minutes of the meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Myanmar Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
