Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei took part in the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga
22 May 2015On May 21-22, 2015 Riga hosted the fourth Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit.
During the summit plenary meeting the head of the Belarusian delegation Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei presented Belarus’ position on the EaP implementation and its further development.
During the visit to Riga Vladimir Makei had a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the EU Member States and senior officials of the European institutions.
At the meeting of Vladimir Makei with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevichs a Protocol was signed to introduce amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Government of Latvia on the simplification of mutual travels of inhabitants in the territories of the border area of Latvia and Belarus of August 23, 2010.
Vladimir Makei was also received by President of Latvia Andris Bersinsh.
