Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus regarding the Czech Republic's declaration of a Belarusian diplomat persona non grata

Belarus strongly condemns the Czech Republic's decision to declare an employee of the Belarusian Embassy in Prague persona non grata. This step is unfounded and politically motivated and does not contribute to the development of constructive cooperation and the normalisation of bilateral relations.

The Republic of Belarus reserves the right to take retaliatory measures in accordance with the principle of reciprocity and the protection of national interests, and calls on the Czech side to refrain from further unfriendly actions.
