Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets the Special Representative of the Co-Presidents and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua

On June 26, 2025 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met with the Special Representative of the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua for investment, trade and international cooperation, Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, Valdrack Jaentschke.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed a wide range of current issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and educational spheres.

The parties reviewed the implementation of the previously reached agreements, including on supplies to Nicaragua of Belarusian machinery and medicines, agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in transport, industry, agriculture and pharmaceuticals, and identified further steps for the implementation of joint projects. 

The parties also confirmed readiness to continue constructive interstate dialogue and further strengthen mutual support in the international arena. 

The Nicaraguan delegation expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for the invitation to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum and expressed its readiness for a more active involvement in the work of the Eurasian Economic Union.
