Ambassador of Belarus U.Baravikou visits Laos

On May 5, 2025 during the working visit to Vientiane, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Lao People's Democratic Republic concurrently, Uladzimir Baravikou, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Maythong Thammavongsa.
The sides discussed the intensifying and expanding of cooperation in political, trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian spheres and the progress of previously reached agreements.
An interest was noted in promoting «people's diplomacy», which plays an important role in strengthening interstate ties.
Ambassador U.Baravikou also had individual meetings with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Laos, Vilayvong Buddakham, with the Minister of Finance of Laos, Santiphab Phomvihane, with the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines of Laos, Chansaveng Boungnong. A wide range of issues was discussed in appropriate areas.
