Ambassador of Belarus V.Barchuk meets Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua

On December 2, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba and concurrently to the Republic of Nicaragua, Vitali Barchuk, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, Valdrack Jaentschke. The talks were also attended by the Senior Advisor to the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua on International Cooperation, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivan Lara Palacios, and the Advisor to the Co-Presidents of Nicaragua on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega Murillo.

The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, and outlined promising areas for joint work.

The interlocutors confirmed their readiness to further expand and strengthen the long-term partnership between Belarus and Nicaragua. We discussed the preparation plan for upcoming bilateral events: the meeting of the Belarusian-Nicaraguan Joint Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation and the round of inter-ministerial consultations scheduled to be held in Minsk in 2026.
