On the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov with the UNDP Permanent Representative in Belarus

On 30 July 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, had a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in the Republic of Belarus, Liu Renfei, who presented the accreditation letter of the UNDP Administrator on her appointment to this post.

The Minister congratulated Liu Renfei on her appointment as the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Belarus and assured her of Belarus' support for the UNDP mandate.

The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also expressed hope that UNDP activities in Belarus will be in line with national interests and will be aimed at supporting priority economic sectors in the country.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the results, challenges and perspectives of UNDP activities in Belarus. It was noted that Belarus made progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. 

The parties agreed to continue joint efforts to attract the international potential for the international technical assistance projects to assist Belarus in fulfilling tasks for the benefit of the Belarusian state.
