Ambassador of Belarus A.Dapkiunas meets State Secretary of Slovakia

On November 20, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Slovakia, Andrei Dapkiunas, met with State Secretary (First Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Marek Eštok in Bratislava. 

The interlocutors confirmed the mutual interest of the governments of Belarus and Slovakia in developing healthy, mutually beneficial relations, including in the fields of trade, economy, education, culture and public diplomacy. 

The State Secretary and the Ambassador stressed the importance of the mutual appointment of ambassadors in Bratislava and Minsk in 2025, as well as Belarus' recent decision to open an Embassy in Bratislava as a significant sign of the seriousness of the two countries' intentions to restore the previous level of relations. 

The Belarusian and Slovak diplomats agreed on the exceptional value and necessity of a respectful interstate dialogue to find ways to normalize the situation in Europe based on the principles of peace and good neighborliness. 

A.Dapkiunas and M.Eštok discussed possible further steps by Belarus and Slovakia to consistently develop comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
