Accreditation of foreign journalists to cover the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Belarus

On December 12, 2024 Foreign Ministry of Belarus launches the accreditation of representatives of the foreign mass media oulets to cover the Presidential Elections in Belarus, which are to be held on January 26, 2025. 

Foreign journalists interested in covering the Elections should apply for temporary accreditation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. Applications are accepted until January 13, 2025. Detailed information is available here.

In the online form in the column “Additional information” it is required to indicate “Elections - 2025”. Documents that do not meet all the requirements will not be accepted. 

Journalists who have a valid permanent accreditation at the Belarusian Foreign Ministry should also send an application for election coverage to the Press Service of the Foreign Ministry (e-mail: press@mfa.gov.by) with the remark “Elections - 2025” by January 13, 2025.

In the application form, we kindly ask to indicate passport data, name of the media outlet, job title, number of the accreditation card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.  

The Information Center of the Central Election Commission will be open in Minsk from January 24 to 27, 2025. Representatives of foreign media accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be entitled to enter the Information Center upon presentation of a special badge. 

Foreign journalists accredited for the elections will be able to get the badge on January 22, 2025 from 10.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m. at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus at the address: 19 Lenina St., Minsk, office phone 1414. Please be sure to bring an ID document and an accreditation card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The badge may not be transferred to another person.
