On December 1, 2025 the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich opened a training workshop for young diplomats, students and teachers of specialized institutions of higher education.

This year's event, which is traditional for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, runs from December 1 to December 5, 2025 and is being held for the 18th time. It is attended by young employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with up to one year of work experience, graduate students of specialized faculties of Belarusian universities (BSU, BSEU, BSUFL, AUpPRB), winners of the career guidance competition "I want to be a diplomat", as well as participants in the volunteer movement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

There are about 80 people in total.

Meetings with invited experts, representatives of government agencies, national media, as well as heads and analysts of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) and the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BIS), were organized for the audience. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and leading industry organizations are also participating in the program.

The subjects of the classes cover a wide range of issues: the history of diplomacy, modern directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus, international cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, information and other spheres. The participants will visit the History Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Belarusian Diplomatic Service.

Opening the seminar, Sergey Lukashevich noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is interested in young people who are ready to contribute to strengthening the country's international prestige:

"For you, the seminar is an opportunity not only to hear about the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but also to see how diplomacy is built in real time. This is your chance to understand whether you are ready to link your future with the foreign policy service," he said.

The First Deputy Minister stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to involve young international experts in the Ministry's projects, including volunteer initiatives and participation in landmark events:

"We strive to support young people who are interested in diplomacy. The "I want to be a Diplomat" competition and our volunteer program are good stepping stones for those who consider a career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a serious prospect," S.Lukashevich added.
