Deputy Foreign Minister I.Sekreta meets UNDP Regional Director for Europe and CIS

On March 2, 2026 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, met with the UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator, and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Ivana Živković. The meeting took place in Minsk.

Igor Sekreta highlighted the productive cooperation with the UNDP office in Belarus and reaffirmed the country's continued support for the UNDP mandate.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on current and future collaboration between Belarus and UNDP. 
The Deputy Minister expressed hope for continued fruitful engagement with UNDP in alignment with Belarus’ national priorities and in support of key economic sectors.

Ivana Živković commended Belarus for its achievements in the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The two sides agreed to strengthen joint efforts to mobilize international expertise and resources for technical assistance projects that contribute to Belarus' national interests.

Furthermore, they reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing cooperation on Chernobyl-related matters, including continued support for the regions affected by the disaster, as well as collaboration in healthcare and other relevant areas.
