Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik receives the delegation of the Turkey-Belarus Business Council

On June 17, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik received a delegation of the Turkey-Belarus Business Council under of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) headed by its Chairman Yilmaz Soycan. The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Belarus Mustafa Ozcan.

The Turkish delegation included the management of the largest Turkish companies operating in the automobile and chemical industry, construction and logistics, as well as a representative of the Turkish-Belarusian joint venture “Polesie TR”.

During the meeting the parties exchanged views on the strategic development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Turkey within the framework of the agreements reached at the level of the heads of the two states. The Turkish side expressed proposals for the implementation of projects in the fields of transport and infrastructure. Measures to create conditions for increasing mutual trade and investment were also discussed.

The meeting was an element of the visit of the Turkey-Belarus Business Council delegation to Belarus, which takes place on June 16-18, 2021. The program of the visit contains meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, events in the premises of National agency of investment and privatization, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Development Bank, as well as negotiations with the leadership of the Belarusian universities.
