Ambassador of Belarus M.Kasko presents Credentials to the President of Sri Lanka

On November 28, 2024 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India and Sri Lanka non-resident, Mikhail Kasko, presented Credentials to the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

During the short talk, the President of Sri Lanka emphasized the friendly nature of the relations between the two countries. The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission underlined the significant potential for building up interaction in various areas, particularly in trade, education, science, tourism, culture, as well as on topical issues on the international agenda. 

During the visit a bilateral meeting was held with the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Vijitha Herath.

The parties constructively discussed the prospects of cooperation between Belarus and Sri Lanka, as well as concrete steps for its further deepening.
