Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov meets Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan

On 1 October 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, met the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi. The meeting took place during the Afghan delegation's visit to Belarus for the 2nd International Industrial Exhibition ‘INNOPROM. Belarus’.
The interlocutors noted the considerable potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation.
Nooruddin Azizi emphasised that Afghanistan highly values the quality of Belarusian machinery, including freight and agricultural vehicles.
The Belarusian side confirmed its readiness to contribute to the socio-economic development of Afghanistan, including through participating in major infrastructure projects, strengthening food security, and improving healthcare.
The parties identified concrete joint steps to advance cooperation, including a series of business events scheduled for the coming months.
