Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus I.Sekreta meets the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization

On June 26, 2025 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, met with the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Robert Floyd.


During the meeting, the interlocutors noted the fruitful nature of Belarus's long-term cooperation with the CTBTO and discussed specific areas for expanding further interaction, including organizing joint events.

I.Sekreta emphasized that Belarus is an active and consistent participant in global efforts in the field of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and reaffirmed Belarus' support for the universalization of the CTBT, ensuring a comprehensive ban on nuclear tests, strengthening the verification regime and global nuclear non-proliferation, and physical nuclear security.

I. Sekreta and R.Floyd noted with satisfaction that Belarus is an active participant in the events held within the framework of the CTBTO and makes a significant contribution to the work of this international organization.

I.Sekreta thanked the CTBTO for the support provided to the Republican Center for Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, including the free supply of computing equipment.

I. Sekreta invited Executive Secretary R. Floyd to visit Belarus and take part in the III Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
