On September 12, 2019 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Andrei Dapkiunas, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus non-resident, Simon Marco Mumwi, to present the copies of his Credentials.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current state and prospect for development of the Belarussian — Tanzanian cooperation in different fields.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out the importance of soonest establishment of political consultations practice between the Ministries of the two countries, based on the corresponding agreement, as well as preparation for contacts at the level of the Foreign Ministers.
A.Dapkiunas drew the attention of the Ambassador of Tanzania to the necessity of bilateral trade structure balancing through increasing purchase of the Belarussian machineries and equipment, which are in demand in Tanzanian economy, especially for the needs of mining and agriculture. In this regard, the interlocutors met with enthusiasm the intentions of the Tanzania Agriculture Development Bank to build partnership with the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
