On September 21, 2016 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea, Andrei Popkov, presented his Credentials to the President of the Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on the current state and prospects for the development of the Belarus-South Korea relations, cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology, public informatization, and discussed some topical issues on the international agenda, , including the situation on the Korean peninsula.
The President of the Republic of Korea highly estimated the cooperation projects between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Korea in the sphere of information technologies and outlined the prospects for expansion of mutual trade and investment, taking into account the capacities of Eurasian Economic Union.
