Belarus has trade relations with more than 200 countries around the World.

Export is characterized by wide assortment. Among the major export commodities are oil and oil products, potash and nitrogen fertilizers, metal products, trucks and cars, tractors, tires, dairy and meat products, furniture.

Belarusian import is mainly composed of energy resources (oil and natural gas), raw materials and components (metals and metal products, raw materials for chemical industry, machine parts) manufacturing equipment.

The main trade partner of Belarus — Russia. In January-March 2018 it accounts for 39.2 percent of total export and about 59.2 percent of import.

The European Union is the second trade partner. In January-March 2018 it accounts for 34.4 percent of export and one fifth of import. The main importers in the EU are Great Britain, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Estonia.

Belarusian export also has grown to all the EAEU Member States: to Kyrgyzstan – in 2 times, to Kazakhstan – by 58%, to Armenia – by 64%, to Russia – by 10.2%.

There is a positive dynamics in cooperation with the traditional partners in Latin America such as Cuba, Ecuador, Brazil, and in Asia, notably with UAE, Israel, Iran, India, Japan, and China.

About 50 percent of the total Belarusian export of services makes up transport services, reflecting favorable geographical position of the Republic of Belarus.

IT and construction services are among the major export positions.

The main trade partners of Belarus in export of service are Russia (about 41% of exports, 39% of imports) and the EU (29% of exports, 33% of imports).
