Statement of the press-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus on adoption of Anti-Secession Law by the People's Republic of China
The Republic of Belarus supports the Anti-Secession Law of the People's Republic of China adopted on March 14, 2005 by 10th National People's Congress during its third session.
The Republic of Belarus believes that the adopted Law meets the core interests of Chinese people, promotes peace and stability in the area of Taiwan Channel, in Asia-Pacific region and in the world as a whole.
The Government of the Republic of Belarus strictly observes its obligations on "Taiwan issue", stipulated in bilateral agreements between Belarus and China, including the Agreement on Establishing Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China. We support the right of the Chinese Government on protection of the national sovereignty, preservation of territorial integrity and national unity of the country.
