Belarus MFA Hosts Talks on Draft Agreement on the Establishment, Privileges and Immunities of European Commission’s Office in the Republic of Belarus

On December 5 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus hosted negotiations on a draft Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the European Commission on the Establishment, Privileges and Immunities of the Office of the European Commission in the Republic of Belarus. Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valery Voronetsky and Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Belarus and Ukraine Ian Boag led the talks.
The parties proceeded from the assumption that opening of the European Commission’s Office in Belarus should be aimed at strengthening and developing the relations and cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the European Commission.
The draft Agreement initialed as a result of the talks will be submitted to the higher instances of Belarus and the European Union.
