Ambassador of Belarus V.Rybak presents Credentials to the President of Turkey

On December 10, 2019 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey, Victor Rybak, presented his Credentials to the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

After the ceremony, a meeting between the Belarusian Ambassador and the President of Turkey took place, during which the parties discussed the implementation of Belarusian-Turkish agreements, reached during the highest level negotiations within the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to Ankara in April 2019. During the meeting a high level of bilateral political relations and mutual understanding between the leaders of Belarus and Turkey was confirmed.

In the context of the highest level agreements, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of further increase of bilateral trade and the need to take certain practical steps to achieve a balance in bilateral trade relations. In this regard, there were considered promising projects of trade, economic and investments cooperation.

At the end of the conversation, V.Rybak informed the President of Turkey about the upcoming visit of the head of the National Library of Belarus to Ankara aiming to donate a special edition of Belarusian books to the Presidential Library of Turkey in the framework of a large-scale project ”Belarus today“.

On December 11, 2019 as part of the official entry on duty, Belarusian Ambassador took part in the ceremony of laying a wreath at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the ”Anitkabir“ mausoleum in Ankara. After the ceremony, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission left an entry in the Book of Honored Guests of the Ataturk Mausoleum and also visited the Ataturk Museum and the War of Independence Museum.
