Minsk hosts the CSTO Ministerial Meeting under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei

On July 17, 2017 Minsk hosted the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization under the chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei.



The meeting was attended by the Heads of the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO Member States and the Secretary General of the Organization.



During the meeting, the Ministers exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda in the field of international security, discussed current state of foreign policy coordination and outlined ways to further improve the CSTO coordination framework.



The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus noted that the key element is to work together to ensure security and stability.



Following the results of the meeting, the CSTO Foreign Ministers adopted a statement on the ongoing campaign in some European countries to dismantle monuments that perpetuate the feat of the Red Army soldiers during the Second World War, another statement on joint measures to ensure information security, as well as a number of decisions on the issues regarding the functioning of the Organization.
