Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Grinkevich meets State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment of Romania

On January 11, 2018 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Romania Andrei Grinkevich had a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment of Romania Ion Cimpeanu.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues on Belarus-Romania cooperation and on the international agenda, exchanged information on activities on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Agenda at national levels.

I.Cimpeanu expressed his high appreciation of the Belarus’ initiative to establish cooperation between national institutions and other mechanisms, responsible for SDG’s achievement in the region.  As to the State Secretary’s information, as a member of the Romanian delegation he will attend the forum of national coordinators from Europe and the CIS countries “Building a Partnership to Underpin National Sustainable Development Solutions”, to be organized in Minsk on February 21-22, 2018.

During the meeting, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission also made a brief presentation of the potential of the Republic of Belarus in trade, economy, investment, tourism and education areas.
