Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei meets the Substitute of the Secretary of State of the Holy See

On October 4, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the Substitute of the Secretary of State of the Holy See for General Affairs, Archbishop Giovanni Angelo Becciu.
The visit of G.A. Becciu is dedicated to the official opening of a new residence of the Apostolic Nunciature in Minsk and the 25-th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Vatican, which is celebrated on November 11, 2017.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues and main tracks of further development of Belarus-Vatican cooperation, certain aspects of the activity of the Roman Catholic Church in the Republic of Belarus.
The parties exchanged views on the results of the Plenary Assembly of the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences, which took place in Minsk and was attended by more than 40 cardinals and bishops.
